Thread: Patton $ Online

A discussion about what your dollars get you.

Welcome! You are invited to wander around and read all of the comments that have been posted here at Patton & Co., but as soon as you register you can see the bid limits that Alex, Peter and Mike propose for each player, and you can post your own comments. Registering is free, so please join us!

If you subscribed last year, you should have just gotten an email saying your subscription has expired. That's the bad news. The good news is that Patton $ Online 2019 will be posted in the subscriber area in a few hours. The software, the Excel files, the text files -- Peter assembled all of that earlier today and now just needs to get back to his computer to post it.

Pitchers and catchers are gathering today in Florida and Arizona, we're getting our act together here... now, if two nameless free agents would just tell us which league they're going to be in, everything would be perfect!

Can't wait! In my 28-year-old league, I won for the first time since 2006, fifth overall. Tommy Hunter of all people got a fluke win on the kind-of-final day of the season for a half-point lead; I gained another point in WHIP when Hader and Chavez pitched well in Game 163.

We recently switched to 5x5, added a pitcher, and dropped an OF. We're thinking about adding the fifth OF back and, horrors, dropping the second catcher. Also considering reducing the minimum IP requirement due to the reduced number of innings starters are throwing these days.

Yes. Once you've downloaded the program you can make unlimited copies. Just rename "Patton2019" to each league's name or to whatever identifier works for you.

Pattton $ Online - Can you set up for 3 leagues at one time?

When I last posted here, I meant this past Thursday -- two days ago -- but now I mean next Thursday.

Patton $ Online 2019 will be ready on Valentine's Day. That's our usual launch date; we tried to push it up a little this year but didn't make it. No serious bumps, but it didn't quite pass inspection and now the head mechanic (Eric) is taking a few days off.

In the meantime, if you subscribed last year, perhaps you've noticed: Rotoman's projections are posted now, 2019 right below 2018 on each player's page. I think it's very interesting to see both sets of projections together like that.

Who knows? With any kind of luck, by Thursday his projections for Harper and Machado will include the park factors.

Eric has imported the wealth of info in our respective spreadsheets into the Projector and now Peter, Mike and I will be taking it for a test drive while fine-tuning our bids. It should be ready for everyone else by this weekend; as long as we don't hit too many bumps in the road -- there are always a few -- it could be as soon as Thursday.
