Thread: Patton $ Online

A discussion about what your dollars get you.

Welcome! You are invited to wander around and read all of the comments that have been posted here at Patton & Co., but as soon as you register you can see the bid limits that Alex, Peter and Mike propose for each player, and you can post your own comments. Registering is free, so please join us!

NeauxBrainer points out another significant mistake: Peter and I both have bids for Viciedo, who still hasn't signed with anyone.

I've listed under David Phelps all the vultures who picked up wins yesterday.

Please note that Phelps wasn't one of them.

The three glaring mistakes that I am aware, which people drafting today should be aware of:

No AP4 for Kang. Should be $4.

AP4 for Benoit should be $5, not $23.

Rusney Castillo bids should all be changed to R1.

Good luck!

The latest, and final for this year, update of the software, has been posted for Subscribers!

It has prices for Jason Grilli and Archie Bradley (for who I spent $42 in FAAB in Tout Wars this week), and updated Sort numbers and notes.

If you trust Alex in 4x4 or Mike or Rotoman in 5x5 there's no better source of ready made roto bid lists out there. Or even better, you can easily make your own using ours as the starting point.

Have a great season!

Thank you!  Knew I had done something like that last year, but I wasn't coming up with it last night.

In Data, click on Transfer values. Copy AP4 to Bid.

If you have freezes, the next step is to overwrite my bids with the freeze prices. Once you've done that (assuming the freezes are underpriced), you see in the totals at the bottom for hitters and pitchers, exactly how much extra money there is to spend. This is the inflation and by far the best way to account for it is to raise the bids on players that you really want.

Another very effective way to get extra money for players that you want: drop the AP4 bids for players that you don't want.

In a matter of minutes, you have your own customized bid list to take into the auction.

The more you tinker, the less pressure there is on AP4, so I hope you'll do that a lot!

My apologies -- I'm 90% sure I did this last year, but can't recall how -- how do I (can I?) copy one of the COMPLETE set of our experts' recommended bids into the "bid values" in the software?  For instance, can I just take AP's 4x4 prices, and swap them into "bid values"?  Thanks in advance.

For some reason the file listing for Subscribers can be erratic. I relisted the install folder last night and it's there now. Sorry about that.

Where is the install program? It's not on the downloads page

Great; glad to know I didn't imagine the schedule.

The Excel spreadsheet for April 3 is posted!

We accidentally left this week off the schedule of updates, but it was always on schedule in our hearts.

The final update is next Thursday.
