Worked out a settlement with the Mets. They had withheld part of his salary due to a non-baseball injury he suffered at his ranch while rehabbing.

Slugger Yoenis Cespedes broke his right ankle in an accident on his ranch.

"He had a violent fall in which he stepped in a hole and put his leg and foot in a difficult position," Van Wagenen said.

Cespedes,
33, returned to New York for further evaluation, Van Wagenen said,
adding that Cespedes told the team he did not fall off a horse, and it
was too early to speculate how long his latest injury might keep him
out.

$2 in LABR.

In the link that Roll2 has just posted under Pete O'Brien, we're looking at a team that has seriously committed to the Mets.

Good luck, Tex and MikeG!

That was me.  Late auction, a lot of people had spots filled, others holding onto their last $2 or $3 bid for someone else they really wanted, so he went around easy.

I like a $1 bid in the CBS format, since I can just DL him as soon as FA bids become available and hopefully find a body that will generate some value until Cespedes comes back.  And if there's a surprise either coming out of ST or early in the year I have a place to put him (actually a couple places, since I also won Polanco) if I can get to him first/win the bid without kicking someone off my roster who I consider potentially useful.

And if Cespedes comes back and puts up $12 worth of value after the AS break, which I consider quite possible - the strategy paid off in spades.
