Surely he can jump higher than that before landing on home plate? Call it the Kendrys Morales Memorial Hop And Skip.

Great all-around game last night. He's twice the player I thought he would be. Maybe three times.

I think you're seeing the honeymoon. Stubbs is flawed, but can produce. Cespedes' is still in the honeymoon period, and the AB I've seen from him are very dark. Maybe he'll adjust, but he's got a lot of work to do to match Stubbs.

The Ks, the steals/cs; the HRs- Drew Stubbs like.

Cespedes AB versus Floyd in the 7th inning tonight: A fast ball well outside, he takes.

He then swings at a low cutter and a high fastball.

Takes a clear ball, then swings at a way outside cutter, which is blocked and he's tagged out on a swinging strike.

Five pitches, none of which were close to called strikes, and a strike out. Absolutely dismal.

Damn. Now I have to go run 5 miles then drink a couple beers after I get home. Obligatory every time I come across a reference to my old Warren Street Social and Athletic Club running buddy Hugh.

Worst case he is Dave Kingman or Gorman Thomas. Learned long ago I can live with those guys unless am Sweeneying.

So are those 4 HRs people trying to throw fastballs past him? Because he showed in the DR that he could hit a fastball, but not much else.

14 hours later, Cespedes does have three career homer runs. He seems to love Seattle pitching.

Whoa. The one tonight I do believe went further.
