I keep mentioning the lowattendance in various ballparks at this time of year, but what about the 28,000 who showed up in Comerica last night to watch Randy Wolf and his mates take on Erik Johnson and the White Sox? In a game that saw only five runs, the two teams scuffled for nearly three hours.

It was 71 degrees and clear. I would have loved to have been there.

Randy left after three and two-thirds (eight earned runs) and an inning or two later, Kinsler, Miggy and J.D. were also taking showers. The Tigers have lost eight out of ten. In the last five games they've been outscored 46-13.

Has pitched well with nothing to show for it so far. In the wins column. He's been an asset in the qualitatives, but anyone who has taken a chance on him, or is thinking about taking a chance on him, is bracing for the worst in those.

It's coming.
