By one simplistic metric, that would make him 16 Wins Above Replacement level.

With Adames in the lineup, the Brewers are 63-31. They've lost as many as they've won when he's not.

Manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Adames (quadriceps) could be ready to return from the 10-day injured list during the Brewers' home series with the Cardinals that begins Sept. 20, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Brewers plan to put Adames through more workouts this weekend to gauge the health of his strained left quad, but if all goes well, the 26-year-old looks like he'll be ready to take back duties at shortstop for the final two weeks of the regular season.

Adames aggravated hit quadriceps injury in Saturday's win over the Cardinals, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Adames went 3-for-3 to begin Saturday's game, but he was replaced defensively in the top of the seventh inning. Manager Craig Counsell said after the contest that the shortstop will be re-evaluated Sunday to determine the extent of his injury.

Adames went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and a strikeout in Friday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Adames completed the Brewers' late-game comeback Friday by homering off Daniel Bard in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the contest, and he also reached base with a pair of singles in the narrow win. His home run was his second since June 5, but the 25-year-old has now had three multi-hit performances in his last seven games, and he's hit .379 with two homers, six RBI and five runs during that time.

Adames went 4-for-4 with four singles Wednesday in the Brewers' 7-3 loss to the Reds.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Adames' efforts weren't enough for the Brewers to extend their winning streak to six games, but he's undoubtedly provided a much-needed spark to a Milwaukee offense that was struggling mightily prior to his acquisition May 21. Since debuting for Milwaukee a day later, the Brewers have gone 13-4, with Adames slashing an impressive .300/.382/.483 over that 17-game stretch.

His owners in hardball AL-onlies (you don't keep the stats) gnash their teeth.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: His sixth-inning shot off Daniel Norris was his second homer as a Brewer and seventh of the season. Adames has caught fire since the trade from the Rays, hitting .324 (11-for-34) through 10 games for his new club with nine RBI.

The Fisher Catamounts, in the PCL, win a bid----rare.

We're hoping, as the Brewers are, this works out better than Arcia or Urias.  We have them too.  For our next feat we'll sign Pat Listach.

Also might be recognition that guys like Brice Turang won't be up anytime soon to help out.
