Closer Monkey:
Atlanta Braves — Kenley Jansen was unavailable yesterday after he tweaked his back on Friday. It is not considered serious but we will keep an eye on this in case Jansen is forced to go on the IL.
Hierarchy remains: Jansen | Minter | Smith.

As the Vulture Culture Watch predicted, Will Smith was suspended for ten years.
That's a joke.
Here's the Monkey, already patting himself on the back.
Atlanta Braves – As the Vulture Save Watch predicted, Kenley Jansen got the day off after a 30 pitch blown save on Friday and that allowed Will Smith to record his first save of the season.
Hierarchy remains: Jansen | Smith | Matzek

Wow, I just watched that! I thought that was a great joke by Chris Rock. Will Smith is insane. Not that he cares, but I'll never watch one of his movies again.

There has to be joke here that isn't about GI Jane (what was Chris Rock thinking?), but what struck me was that the other other Will Smith, the actor who won an Oscar tonight, was kind of doing his Muhammad Ali accent while playing Richard Williams.
I'm going to have to go back to Michael Mann's film to confirm, but do you think?
No knock on Smith's Oscar winning performance. He was good and irritating, but I liked Amy Schumer's line in the opening, about how the story of Venus and Serena is in Hollywood the story of their dad.

Also on the Brave's depth chart page at Rotowire.
The most recent comment for Will at Rotowire.
The veteran left-hander surrendered a leadoff single to Eduardo Escobar, but he retired the next three batters with minimal issue, including a pair of whiffs, to finish out Atlanta's series victory. Smith notched saves in all three of Atlanta's victories over Milwaukee, allowing two hits with three strikeouts and a walk across three scoreless frames in a strong start to the postseason.
Clearly, Rotowire had switched to football by the World Series.
