Back in the show, reportedly to be tried at 2B with Urias sliding to Tatis' SS spot.

Update from madfriars.com ...

Ty France once again led the Chihuahuas offense, finishing up the fireworks in the second with a  three-run home run. France came back from an 0-2 count to drive the pitch over the right-center field wall for his 27th homer of the year. He also clubbed a pair of doubles on the night. Each part of his ridiculous .406/.482/.790 slash line leads all of full-season baseball. On the year, France has 55 extra-base hits against 48 strikeouts.

From madfriars.com ...

Ty France’s best positions are first and third base, where the San Diego Padres have over $400 millioninvested in Eric Hosmer and Manny Machado until at least 2025. Still, the former San Diego State Aztec is making a great case in 2019 that he belongs somewhere in the major leagues. Saturday, the 25-year-old got his eighth start of the season at second base, a position his manager Edwin Rodriguez believes that he can fill in at, but not play every day. He accounted for three of the Chihuahuas six hits, blasting a double and two more home runs. Even with the current environment in the PCL, what France is doing is impressive. He leads the league in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging at .402/.479/.792, good for a wRC+ of 200. He has  26 home runs, 50 extra-base hits and 80 RBI in 67 games. That is a good audition for someone.

Sent down, presumably to learn how to take a walk.

The struggles of Kinsler and Urias have prompted SD to give this guy time at 2B in AAA, where he is hitting .455 with 4 HR over the last 10 games.  34th round draft pick who played for Tony Gwynn at SD St., so the fans should love him.

2-for-2 with a homer yesterday in Arizona. Alas, the Pads did go outside the organization looking for an option at third.

How about calling up Esteban Quiroz from the depths also?

He's the Padres' "low-key acquisitions who could pay off big" ... we shall see ...

The Padres recently stated that Myers will be playing in the outfield this year. If they don't fill the void at 3B by going outside the organization, France appears to be the best internal option. I'm spending a fair bit of time doing Draft and Hold Leagues as prep and it's always interesting mining for those late-round lumps of coal, hoping they might turn into diamonds.
