But why retire and leave $20M on the table except an admirable sense that claiming the money is a kind of theft. But it isn't like he wasn't hurt on the job. So, not theft. Workman's comp.

If someone can announce their retirement and still keep getting paid, that's some impressive work by their agent.

Ouch. Can Chris Davis do the same thing? Retire and keep getting paid?

Cots shows Jays owing him about $19 million in 2020

He retired on July 25th or so, with a $20M 2019 contract, $14M in 2020 and a $4M buyout in 2021. Does he get this money? I don't know who owes it to him, but I presume not the Yankees.

He just discovered that it's easy to reach the right filed seats.

At sub-$5 (likely), what the heck?

We've been ignoring him. He hasn't been going in the drafts I'm in, or has gone very late, but this story suggests we're not paying enough attention.

Has signed a minor league deal with the Yankees. That'll get them some leverage with Boras.
