He really came into his own this year. And, he kept it up today. Looked incredible against the Rays. And, he's every bit of 6'5" 165.

I always find numbers interesting. Altuve is listed at 5'6" 165. He's like the Stretch Armstrong version of Altuve.

Rotoworld:

10.03: Triston McKenzie pitched five innings of one-run ball in a no-decision against the Royals on Monday. (McKenzie left with a one-run lead, but it didn't hold up. The Guardians probably should have won handily, but they finished 0-for-15 with RISP and wound
up losing 5-2 in 10 innings. McKenzie ends the regular season 11-11 with a 2.96 ERA. He's going to finish in the top 10 in the AL in both ERA and innings pitched (191 1/3). He'll presumably start Game 2 of this weekend's postseason series.)

Rotoworld:

07.15: Triston McKenzie fanned 12 in eight innings Thursday as the Guardians shut out the Tigers 4-0. (McKenzie's
rotation spot seemed to be coming into doubt a couple of weeks ago on
the heels of an ugly June, but he's on an incredible run now, having
thrown 21 scoreless innings with 23 strikeouts so far in July. His ERA
is back down to 3.20. The 12 strikeouts tonight were a career high,
topping his total of 11 against the Tigers from last August. He's had
four career 10-strikeout games, with three of those coming versus
Detroit.)

Torched by Twins, tames the Yankees. I would have iced him if I could without losing him.

Torched by Twins again
June 28, 2022
McKenzie (4-6) took the loss in Monday's 11-1 rout at the hands of the Twins, coughing up seven runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven.
ANALYSIS
For the second straight start Minnesota had McKenzie's number, as half of the hits off the right-hander Monday went for extra bases, including homers by Gary Sanchez and Nick Gordon. Through three outings against the Twins this season, McKenzie has an 8.31 ERA and 3.64 HR/9; against the rest of the league, he sports a 2.86 ERA and 1.29 HR/9.

I did!

I should have mentioned earlier Peter no longer has him in the ADL; I do.

The trade: Mullins for McKenzie and Sewald.

Peter gave me the choice of Sewald and Castillo. Since Sewald got the save the previous day, that's who I picked, and Castillo has gotten all the saves since.

If Sewald continues to be a dud, Triston's going to have to keep on keeping on to keep up with Mullins, who's been on fire.

Peter had the most valuable thing you can have, pitching to spare. I had speed to spare.

He pitched well, so I hope you forgot.  :)

However...

I understand a lot of fly balls means a relatively low BABIP, but geez.

Note to self: don't forget.

Rotoworld:

06.10: Triston McKenzie yielded two runs in six innings Friday in a no-decision versus the A's. (The runs came on homers form Seth Brown and Sean Murphy. McKenzie allowed just three other hits and struck out six. He'll take a 3.09 ERA into his next start in Coors Field. Since that should be his only outing, he's a
bench candidate next week.)

Me too, we have a 6 man minor league roster, he was on mine since early on.
