Trevor Rogers, LHP, Marlins — After leading the Grapefruit League with 29 strikeouts, Rogers made his season debut on Monday. The lefthander, who was impressive in 2020, whiffed six and walked four over four innings. His four-seam fastball topped at 98 mph, and he got swinging strikes on 15 of his 77 (19.4%) pitches.

  • Bid prices vary widely during the "draft season".  THIS March 26 start, and Rotoworld's review, on the day of your first draft opened some eyes of the bidders a week later.  Same thing will happen with Alex Reyes.

Trevor Rogers tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings on Friday on two hits with 10 strikeouts vs the Astros.

Rogers had all but sewn up a spot in the Marlins rotation before this start in what has been an impressive spring. I think it's safe to say he is a lock at this point. The left-hander has struck out 29 through 19 innings in Grapefruit League play after punching out 39 batters in 28 innings last season for the Marlins with a K-BB% of 20. The 23-year-old, who wields three different pitches with a near 30 percent whiff rate, could be a late-round steal in fantasy even with recent helium pushing up his draft stock.

On 3/26, in a 20% inflation league, he went for $7.
On 4/2, in a 45% inflation league, he went for $17. Anyone care to explain or comment?

5.2 scoreless IP today against an Astros lineup with an OppQual of about 5. Even so, just three baserunners and ten punchouts. Lowers his ERA to 2.84.

Tyler's in a better place for profits this year, but I think Trevor is a nice sleeper. Lots of skills, really bad results last year. My $5 bid could be -$1 and might still get him. And want him on my team.

I entered his 2020 stats. Make sure you say Tyler.

One of my fears is confusing Trevor Rogers with Tyler Rogers mid-auction.

Here they are, the few we have. Fangraphs has the rest.
