I'm working on Big Prices for the Guide. Today I have Trevor Cahill with a price of $3. What do you think?

Seven scoreless, almost hitless, almost walkless innings today.

Guess who's tied with the Astros?

One trip to the DL already, and it won't be the last, but he's spinning it.

According to Statcast, he's doing it with a changeup.

Well, we're certainly going to ride him until the ride slows down.

12 Ks over 6 scoreless v. B'more tonight.  Are we persuaded yet?

Well, we FAAB'd him; we shall see.  The 8 Ks in 7 innings in his first start were persuasive.

The triumph was that he made 14 starts, the first time with more than three since 2014. The other triumph was that he pitched decently for the Padres. The big problem was three trips to the DL. The other big problem was that he was hit pretty hard starting after being traded to the Royals, went on the DL, and was hit pretty hard relieving for KC. Problematic health and struggles with walks make it hard to recommend him no matter what his role.
