Starling Marte (OF) PIT - Aug. 22

Marte went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases in a 7-1 loss against the Nationals on Thursday.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Pirates continue to embarrass themselves this week, but Marte has been outstanding, posting four extra-base hits, four RBI and six stolen bases in his last 10 games. He already has his second straight 20/20 season, but if this stretch of power and speed keeps up any longer, Marte could post his first 30/30 season. He is batting .288 with 22 home runs, 73 RBI, 85 runs and 24 stolen bases in 482 at-bats this season.

We've mildly kept track of maximum ABs in one day without an RBI.  It's well into the 30s.  But zero-for-40 is majestic stuff.

Holy cow.

No I've never seen that.

One team in my league went 0-40 yesterday. Anyone ever had a day that bad?

I saw this too ... it was shocking how bad he looked out there ... on at least 3 significant plays ...

A woeful game in center field last night against the Dodgers. Just one of those games or is he a bad outfielder?

Starling Marte (OF) PIT - Mar. 17

Marte homered in his third straight start Sunday against Boston.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The center fielder has also stolen three bases in Grapefruit League action. "He's swung the bat from a strong position," manager Clint Hurdle said. "When he's getting on, he's looking for opportunities to run, so he's healthy. He's seeing pitches. He's heading into a good position to start the season." Marte is expected to bat second in the lineup behind Adam Frazier on most occasions.
