Thread: Stage Four

It doesn’t exist. But we keep hoping.

Welcome! You are invited to wander around and read all of the comments that have been posted here at Patton & Co., but as soon as you register you can see the bid limits that Alex, Peter and Mike propose for each player, and you can post your own comments. Registering is free, so please join us!

Does it make sense to have a thread called something like "Our Drafts" or "Draft Experience"?

I have my first draft on March 6th and I think it would be fun to have a thread to discuss our draft/auction experiences.

What a fantastic league!  There is no way in the world that I could justify playing in it, but it is wonderful.

Our 30 year GM-style League needs one replacement owner: 12-team, early, deep, Auction, Roto, mixed keeper League with double active rosters? We have one team available.

Details are here:

I've been an owner for years in the OBFLB (OriginalBitnet Fantasy League Baseball), a 24-team mixed league that literally includes players from around the world (one longtime owner is in Perth Australia).  The league itself has been around since 1989.

Rules are:  http://www.prorank.net/obfbl/rules.htm

It's a somewhat unique format, head to head categories league, 2 seasons per season.  No fees (although we all pitch in about $7 a year to have Sportsline run our stats for us).

Some really smart guys (and gal) in the league, plus some fun banter.  I've been in the league about 15 years, and have won 3 (out of 30) titles in that time period.  Most teams have assistant GM's... BobinTx is mine.

Draft takes place over a couple week period (in March) via online daily draft card submittal - 2 rounds of the draft get taken per day.

If anyone is interested in taking an open slot, there is one this year.  Let me know!

While I don't comment on here regularly, I am on here regularly. Does that count? I'd love to join if there's a spot for me.

Okay folks, it's crunch time. We have two slots still open in the Inaugural Patton & Co 20-team Mixed League. I'll hold the last two slots until tomorrow for any of the message board regulars. It should be a fun time with a very worldly group assembled that includes representation from five countries and three continents. Last call time for those single-format folk to see how the other half live.

Great article about Belichick even if it is about football.

Isn't it about time we had a Mixed League at Patton & Co? Carter (Gypsy Soul on the board) and yours truly believe so and would like to extend an invitation to any and all that are interested in playing the game in a slightly different format for 2015. We're looking at trying to assemble a 20-team Mixed 5x5 format subbing OBP for BA. 20-teams sounds rather imposing but we're looking at using 20 man rosters of which 16 would be active. Nine bats, seven pitching, and four reserve slots. The player pool is such that the waiver wire will be very active. The draft would be random snake and the weekly waiver wire would be an automated FAAB system with the site and draft date still to be determined. If anyone is interested please contact me at [email protected] Thanks, Carter and Tim
