I have a similar price for him. Of course in the shortened season seven steals is the equivalent of 18 steals in a regular season. And these days hitting .245 actually has some value. Shiver.

Are h8s 2020 earnings correct? $12/$11 for .245 and 9 BI and no HR? Or did he earn on the "strength" of 7 SBs?

Yet most Reds fans (unjustly) blame David Bell for his lack of offense(and. everything else that doesn't go perfectly). I wasn't sold from Day 1 on his offense.

The percentiles gave us fair warning that this guy can't hit.
When we turn the page (on Dec. 15), the last two-year's of advanced stats at Fangraphs will be displayed as the first comment for next season. The two-year scans are quite interesting.
Shogo's Hard-Hit percents, Pull percents, and so forth are consistent -- give him that.

Reds outfielder Shogo Akiyama left tonight’s game with a tight left hamstring and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

Does anyone besides Rotowire think there still might be an NL DH?
Shogo Akiyama (OF) CIN - Mar. 04

Akiyama (personal) reported to the Reds' spring training facility Thursday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Akiyama was gone from camp for seven days while tending to a personal matter. Due to his absence, Akiyama may need to put in a few days of workouts before the Reds clear him for Cactus League action, but the 32-year-old's status for Opening Day won't be in any jeopardy. With manager David Bell labeling Nick Senzel the Reds' everyday center fielder earlier in camp, Akiyama looks poised to begin the season as the fourth outfielder, assuming MLB opts not to institute a universal designated hitter for 2021.
