Drafted by the Rays in the 18'th Rd in 2016, he was released after two decent seasons at Rookie and A-ball. He didn't pitch in 2018. He moved on to the ChiSox in 2019 and posted a 3.06 ERA with 112 strikeouts in 97 IP. He elected Free Agency after the 2020 season and was signed by the Giants. Four starts at Double-A and one at Triple-A, where combined he struck out 37 over 21 2/3 innings with a 1.99 ERA, and he finds himself in San Francisco where he tosses four dominant innings in his debut. Small sample size warning, but it looks like he might pitch backwards, using the curve (42%@ 76.6 mph) to set up the fastball (34.8% @93.1 mph) and change (15.9% @ 80.9 mph). It begs me to wonder what the Giants saw in this kid that both the Rays and White Sox didn't?
