Unlike Abreu, Ryan Zimmerman does get a $2 pay cut in the preliminary 2017 formulas for 4x4.

Why? I mean, the two seasons are so similar.

Stolen bases. Each steal in the AL is worth 48 cents. Each steal in the NL is worth 49 cents.

By hook or by crook, Abreu stole two more bases than Zimmerman this year.

Not that long ago, when four teams made the playoffs, the majority of games played after June didn't count. The race for the second wildcard in the AL this year was particularly pathetic, with the one team that managed to stay above .500 prevailing.

4-for-4 tonight with a double and two homers. Scored two, plated four.

Turner, Rendon, Murphy and Werth each collected a pair of hits. Srasburg collected win No. 15 with a dominant 7 2/3.

Nats tuning up for the first games that count since when? June?

Matt Harvey won it in 2015 after missing all of 2014. Casey McGehee  and Chris Young(pitcher) in 2014 after not playing in the majors in 2013.

Greg Holland never had two seasons like Zimmerman's 2015-2016.

Two more HR's today.

Texpope called it back on March 30th - Comeback Player of the Year.

Hit his 20th HR today. Historic because he became the Expos/Nationals franchise leader in career HR's with 235.

Vladimir Guerrero (234), Andre Dawson (225), Gary Carter (220) and Tim Wallach (204) round out the top five.

I would have never guessed Zimmerman was the career HR leader for this franchise.

Has already out-earned his 2014-2016 lines...on June 5th.

.452 BABIP 39.3% HR/Fly LD% 4.3% higher than his career average. It will be interesting to see what they are on June 1.
