He's back ... and I'd say the situation is grim ... he's done poorly at AAA ...

Here's the thinking ... (which I like) ...

Entering Tuesday, the team’s starters have gone at least six innings a major league-leading 38 times and at least seven innings a major league-leading 14 times. Their average of 5.7 innings per start and 92 pitches per start are also highest in the majors. Manager Bob Melvin has several times said the ability to provide the starters with extra rest has made him comfortable allowing them to go longer in games.

Musgrove said Monday he could be ready to go on what is standard rest but has effectively become short rest for Padres’ starters. But he also voiced his fondness for the extra time a six-man rotation has created for rest and recovery.

I've deleted the second stat line. As I've said elsewhere, Colin thought the 2021 stats showing again as 2022 stats would disappear -- be overwritten -- when we started getting the stat feed. Clearly, that didn't happen.

He's trying to figure out how to make the bad 2022 stats go away without endangering the stat feed. Until he does, I have to delete the bad stats myself each time a player appears. It's not the worst chore; I enjoy reading the comments. Keep 'em coming!

There's nothing wrong with the first 2022 stat line ... he's not on the Padres' roster ... he's at AAA El Paso (where he's stinkin' up the joint) ...

The the 2nd stat line is the same duplicate of the 2021 stats that many/most/all others are experiencing ...

Something wrong with both lines of his 2022 stats.
