And, in fact, he never pitched again in September.  Odd.

We took him for a buck this weekend, though his role appears . . . undefined.

5 1/3 innings against the Yankees for another W. And a sweep of a double-header in the Stadium.

Two walks, one strikeout. Three of 78 pitches swung at and missed. The vast majority of the 40,000 who began the day thrilled to get to see two for the price of one goes home in despair.

A not inconsiderable contnigent of out-of-towners parties into the night.

6 2/3 scoreless against the Royals. First-pitch strikes to 21 of 27 batters. 12/5 G/F.

But how does he have a 1.80 ERA with a .366 BABIP?

He won that big playoff game for Cleveland, if not for himself, which should have been enough to earn him a spot in the Guide, but we ran out of space before he was profiled, and he paid the price. He's an exteme control pitcher without a big strikeout pitch, and will need a few starters to go down ahead of him to see any ML time as a starter. Could he succeed out of the bullpen? As a setup guy, maybe, though is not a likely look-to in high leverage situations.
