You have to figure he's just good enough to get jobs because he's a just good enough spot starter and a just good enough long reliever to beat out all the other pitchers who aren't quite just good enough at one or the other role. Or something like that. Control used to be his strong suit, the skill that offset the fact that he didn't strike out hardly anyone. But that hasn't been the case since 2013, which would seem to indicate that his leash is getting shorter. That's supported by the fact that he's churned through four teams the last two year, to stupefyingly bad results.
