Just tied the game with solo homer in the sixth in Buffalo. Check out his slugging average going into the game.

Randal Grichuk (OF) TOR - Jul. 10

https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=742872

Grichuk has not yet joined the Blue Jays for their summer camp in Toronto, Laura Armstrong of The Toronto Star reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Twelve members of the organization were held back in Florida due to a positive COVID-19 test, and while none of their names have been released, Grichuk could well be one of them. The 28-year-old posted career highs with 31 homers and 80 RBI last season, but combined them with a career-low .232 batting average and .737 OPS.

RBI % (explained under Nelson Cruz) is not kind to Grichuk.

"The major league leader in runs NOT driven in was Randal Grichuk of Toronto, who drove in 80 runs but had an RBI percentage of .308. He missed 179.5 opportunities -- the highest total in the major leagues."

The average RBI % all hitters with 150 AB last year was .326. Grichuk was reasonably close to that but he had far more than the average number of opportunities.

Slugged .554 over the last two months. Hit all but 12 of his homers in the Rogers Centre. And still didn't quite match what he earned in 2018, thanks to the homer explosion.
