Cool. False news on my part. Well done on Dever's part. (But also Andruw Jones, Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, and Miguel Cabera.) Fug you, Mantle, as Mailer would have said.

B-R.com definitive list  He's the youngest to hit a HR in Red Sox playoff history.  Andruw, Harper, and Manny Machado, and Miguel Cabrera have him beat.  He seeks in ahead of Mickey Mantle.  Not a bad list to be on.

Surprised it wasn't Andruw Jones in his teens.  Actually just looked it up, Jones had 3 in his age 19 season; 1 against St. Louis in the LCS and two against the Yankees in the World Series.

The youngest ever to hit a postseason home run. Not yet 21. I'm still surprised. Though when it comes to homers, we shouldn't be.

Bid for No. 11, on a 95 mph fastball from Osuna, denied at the low fence in right center in Fenway as Cabrera reaches up to glove it in the bottom of the ninth.

Devers has rounded first; goes back to the dugout thinking pulling the ball maybe not such a good idea.

Also joins the 10 HR club; 373 to right on a hanging curve.

I hadn't given much thought to how important this part of the game has become.

Two HR already tonight back in Fenway.  Who's hotter, Devers or Stanton, who has one already tonight?

no noise from me: I do not own Devers, but I had a huge investment in that game --  sale, montgomery, chapman, reed, ellsbury, hRamirez, betts, nunez, not to mention holliday (dl),

nice pitching, mostly, but no win, no save, no hits.

at least, pitching sked for next such series shows, for now, that montgomery and sale start on different days.
