He sure thought his drive in the eighth was going to clear the fence. On a warmer night it would have.

His 4 for 4 game last night puts him at .301 on the season. A .329/.394/.613 line in the second half, numbers right at his career line. Not sure what happened the first two months of the season, but Pujols looks like the most feared hitter in the league again. With 12 games left and the Cards 3 1/2 out of the wild card, expect clutch Pujols to finish strong (already hitting .434 with a .660 SLG this September) and get his 11th straight .300/30/100 season to begin his career. Just an amazing feat if he can accomplish it.

So how long can a guy with a career .315 BABIP ... and a prior range of .294-.350 ... stay down at .249?

The low doubles rate this year might be an indicator that there's some problem ... but he will rebound.

A lot of fretting about Pujols and the increased injury risk at 3B and then he goes and gets hurt at 1B.

This won't be news for most of y'all ... just for the record ...

Albert Pujols has been diagnosed with a small fracture in his left forearm and will miss 4-6 weeks.

At least, that's what the Cardinals are saying.

And now he will qualify at 3B in most leagues...getting his 3rd start at the hot corner tonight. Helps owners big time with the very weak 3rd base options right now in the NL.

Home, away, laugher, tie score in the tenth inning... Albert's fine.

Maybe Albert's fine ... he might just be getting "park factored"?

... says Busch is playing MUCH low run producing than even Petco!

Actually, I think another one just came through. What I'll do is post them on the PCL Info site so that I don't have to post them twice. There's also easier to digest there.
