I desperately could have used that Bourjos SB. I waffled between an ice-cold Billy Hamilton and Bourjos for my last OF spot last night. I chose Billy, who ended up getting some sort of concussion in the game. Ouch.

The final week is my favorite week of the year, even when I'm in Nowheresville (ADL) or the Land of the Good But Not Great (XFL).

Strange things happen all year long, but when the clock is running out, every event in the closely contested categories becomes surreal.

Steals a bag!

It's the little things that make a difference here in the final week :-)

Why is he in the lineup for a contending roto team? Because Votto and Wright and Lagares are all done for the season ...

Set up by the failure to get the bunt down to move the runners to 2nd and 3rd.

Game-saving catch last night in front of 37,00 -- in Milwaukee. The win puts the Cardinals four games up on the Brewers. They square off in the next three games; Brewers almost have to win two of them.

Someone cut him in my home league and he passed though FAAB without a bid. I picked up Inciarte and Bourjos will be my backup plan should he fail.

I just got this guy off waivers in my home league ... I don't need him, just surprised he was waived and not claimed by any other teams ... sure seems like he's good to have on my reserve roster and that situations may evolve to where he gets his job back ... in other words, I'm "buying low", and the price was giving up waiting for Kendrys Morales to sign with an NL team ...
