Can he be turned around?  His contract virtually guarantees he'll get more chances (the Cards owe him at least $11 mil - and that's if they were to buy him out after 2023).

But don't let the really low BABIP fool you - he's earned those horrible #'s this year.  Per Fangraphs "His 5.7% barrel rate is also a career worst, with his 86.8 mph average
exit velocity just half a tick above last year’s career worst. His
Statcast expected numbers (.158 xBA, .268 xSLG) are bench-worthy in
their own right."
