I guess the fact that none of us answered is your answer, Joel.

There's little comfort in Mike Puma's grade today in the Post.

Michael Conforto: F

He has been lost at the plate all season, and the hamstring injury that cost him a month only exacerbated matters. This is no way to earn a big contract.

Lost year or would you bet on him?

Pop'd hammy ...

I traded him today in one league where Texpope and I co-manage - straight up for Eugenio Suarez.   Suarez is also off to a slow start, but in that league it is easier to find another useful OF than an IF.

Damn Seadogs, that is a brutal if accurate assessment of Conforto.

I avoided him this year because I felt he was overrated by most in fantasy baseball. He's a .260/30 HR guy. Nothing to sneeze at for sure, but he's far more likely to consistently earn 20 to 24 than 30 to 34. Christian Walker, not Marcell Ozuna.

I don't.  Seemed like he had a slow start a year or two ago.  Patience.

Hitting a cool .125, but in only 25 ABs.  BABIP is .176, so clearly an unlucky start.  But does anyone but me think the Mets rolling up a Brinks truck for Lindor while making insulting offers to Conforto might be affecting his psyche?

The worst of it is there was one out. If the right call had been made there would have been two outs and the game likely would have gone on.

Why not a simple rule that any game-ending play can be challenged?

When my older friends rail against the degradation of the records I don't mention this one, but it is one of many that have to be contextualized. We grew up in an environment of lies. I'm glad to be over that.

BTW Plenty to complain about the call.
