Merrill Kelly (P) AZ - Jun. 11
https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=784396

Kelly failed to factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Angels, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in five innings.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Kelly was solid outside of the third inning, when he allowed all three of his runs and four of six total baserunners. He's been the definition of mediocre this season, permitting two or three runs in eight of 13 starts and averaging under six inning per turn.

Decided to take a flier on Morejon.  Good ballpark, good team and good stuff.  Hate playing with rookie pitcher fire, but I really need some strikeouts so it is a risk I am taking.

I was encouraged by your more extensive take on him and bit the bullet in one league.  Might want to diversify my risk.  I suppose Cueto falls in the same category.  He pitched a gem today as well.

I was dazzled by his 2020 apparent improvements, and Alex and I are so far paying the price. My profile, if you're a subscriber, is a much better take. I think he might be very useful for a big league team, but I agree with LynchMob that the park doesn't help him at all, which makes him a bad fantasy fit.

The group jschri describes is tough. I'm a little enamored with Widener, who is in that same ballpark but seems to have upped his stuff. Ross pitched a good game today, but that's kind of the common denominator in this group. On any day any of them might work, but they each have potentially painful flaws.

If you can, stream them. It may not work but it will be a good exercise.

Ross shut out the Dodgers for five today before being pulled.

It's the exact opposite of what women say are the chances of finding a boyfriend in Alaska (the odds are good but the goods are odd).

Don't we ALL face this exact question?

I like Kelly as a pitcher ... he just doesn't seem to be a good fit for such a hitters park ... is he really 32?  Ouch ... that means he's not likely to get much better ...

I'd veto Lucchesi ... and MadBum ...

Bottom line ... there's no good answer :-)

Need a starter and here are my options:  Chase Anderson, Kelly, Houser, Weaver, Lucchesi, Widener, Wainright, Bumgarner or Joe Ross.  Leaning toward Kelly, but any input is appreciated.
