Scherzer was one of my biggest sleepers for 2010. I love this trade for him as hitters will have a tough time initially. Will be an excellent sell high candidate mid season.

I'm looking to deal away a pitcher as a keeper in my NL only 12 team 260 5x5. I have been thinking of Scherzer at $13 or Ubaldo Jimenez at $11.

Which one of those players do you consider a better potential keeper for 2010?

I'm looking at the latest version of the Projector, the one that was posted last Saturday, and seeing AP4 $16, MF5 $15, PKm $6. So that is what I have just now entered here.

The process: Mike and I send our bids to Peter and he merges them into his working file for the Projector. Then he creates a text file that has just bids and player id#'s, which he sends out to Colin, who maintains this database. Colin overwrites the previous bids with the new bids.

Somewhere along the line, the bids for Max Scherzer were dropped. Surely the same thing has happened for other important players. Let us know whenever you come across a player who seems to be just shouting for our bids.

I'm the mixed league bid guy, so you can surely understand why I'm staying away. But I think the "ready to throw a game in early to mid March" quote might explain the reluctance of my brethren to weigh in.

My projections in the Patton $ Online software put Max at $7. You don't have to buy the software for the details: They're actually really postive for Max. 150 IP, 3.30, 1.35, which is a bit of disconnect. So is the W/L record (presently an idiotic 3-9, a mechanical artifact because of his crappy record in Arizona last year).

I think we need to find out a lot before we can trust he's both ready and able. That may make him a bargain on draft day, but history tells me he is very risky. Bidder beware.

Well, I'm curious also. Reports are that he had some soreness and stiffness in the shoulder but is ready to throw a game in early- to mid-March. Likely to take the five slot in the rotation. How could you not like that K/BB ratio? I have my eye on him. My initial guess is that $8 could get him and you stand a decent shot at profit. And if he flails, then it's not a huge loss.

No bids yet? 66/21 in 56 IP is tantalizing. He is one of those wildcard bids so I am interested to see what people think.
