I call career year. Buy into this next year and you'll be burned. Not only in the obvious, batting average, but also in power. Still, sweet this year.

Joey Gallo lite at the plate though he walks a lot less than Gallo.

Balls clearing the yards by country miles this afternoon. Matt Davidson is strong, but come on.

The ball's not juiced? How come we never talk about it?

Matt Davidson (DH) CHI-A - Feb. 11

Davidson, who suffered a foot injury that required surgery and ended last season
in July, said his foot has felt 100 percent since mid-December, J.J. Stankevitz
of CSN Chicago reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Davidson injured his foot just two at-bats into a mid-season call up, his first major league appearance since 2013. A former top prospect with the Diamondbacks, the 25-year-old Davidson's career has stalled at Triple-A Charlotte, but he did show some improvement for the Knights in 2016 leading to his callup. If he manages to hit, Davidson could be in the mix for at-bats at designated hitter and is a potential fill-in at third base should the White Sox eventually move veteran Todd Frazier.

He was called up in June, then broke his foot running the bases in his first game. That led to season-ending surgery, but he is supposed to be fine for spring training. At that point he will once again have to reckon with a swing that generates some nice power and a lot of whiffs. The former top prospect seemed to improve last year in Triple-A, his fourth time around that circuit, but that batting average bump may have been fired by an uncharacteric .351 BABIP.
