No. 51 this afternoon in Wrigley but it wasn't easy. A double and a triple put the tying run on third with one out. Next two batters couldn't lay off knuckle curves in the dirt while 40,00 groaned.

Just nailed down save number 50 against the Rockies.

Save No. 42 to move one ahead of Rosenthal. When's the last time there were two 50-save guys in the same season in either league?

Probably two years ago. I'm terrible at this sort of thing!

Converted his 24th consecutive save today preserving a 1-0 win against the Indians.

Got two quick outs in the ninth before walking Kipnis then giving up an infield single to Lindor with the shift. He then got Brantley to ground out to first to end it in front of a sell out crowd today in Pittsburgh.

His K rates and K/BB rates are down, but the velocity is back up and he has been money.

Save number 18 today in a clean ninth including two K's. All is OK in the shark tank.

Especially early in the season for closer when you have those extra off days.

Converted his 7th consecutive save today.

Melancon has allowed just one ER in his last 12 innings. Patience can be a virtue in roto.

Picked up the save today, preserving the 5-4 lead in the 9th.

Can we hold off on banishing Melancon to middle relief just yet?

Geez.

Blew a big one last night, and tonight Clint Hurdle left Tony Watson in for a two inning save (bailing out Hughes).  And Caminero was throwing gas in the 7th.

A one-pitch save to preserve a three-run lead with a runner on in the ninth inning...

Doesn't get better than that.
