I might be the biggest Yankees hater who's not a Met's fan but I'm not worried that Severino (full disclosure, I got him for $1 this year) can rebound, given the eventual outcome of his playoff debut.

Wonder how the quick hook will affect a 23 year-old as the Yankees advance to play the Indians. It was obviously the right call by Girardi considering the outcome. Hope the kid rebounds...and I am not a Yankees fan to say the least.

6 batters faced....1 out...hit the showers.

If Girardi follows his standard M.O. don't expect Severino to be pitching past the 6th tonight against the Twins, even if his pitch count is solid and the Yankees are winning.

He will play the percentages and go to that great bullpen.

Came up huge against the Red Sox tonight. Two baserunners, one unearned run, nine punchouts in six innings.

Yanks have a puncher's chance of catching the Sox.

Looked sharp today pitching against the Phillies.

Luis Severino (P) NY-A - Jan. 30

Severino will remain a starting pitcher after being demoted to the bullpen late
last season, Brendan Kuty of NJ.com reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Severino struggled as a starter in a rocky rookie campaign,
going 1-8 with a 7.98 ERA over 11 starts. After being demoted to the bullpen, however,
the right-hander posted a dominant 1.13 ERA in 16 innings. Nonetheless, GM Brian
Cashman reasserted his faith in the youngster by saying that even if Severino does
not make the rotation out of spring training, he will return to the minors as a
starter.
