The specifics are now very clear. Gil is booked for TJS on Tuesday.

Rotowire:
The right-hander was removed from Wednesday's start with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with an apparent elbow injury, and he'll apparently be sidelined for the foreseeable future. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but Gil's availability for the rest of the season is now in question.

It's unlikely he'll still be available for the FAAB action this weekend.
Rotoworld:
05.13: Luis Gil allowed four runs over four innings Thursday to take a no-decision in a spot start against the White Sox. (Gil
drew the starting assignment for Thursday's series opener against the
White Sox and wound up finishing with five strikeouts and only issuing a
pair of walks. The 23-year-old righty has struggled mightily at the
Triple-A level this season and had issues putting away hitters and
avoiding hard contact in this one. It's a bit unclear how he factors
into the Yankees' pitching plans later this season.)
