Five hits, one homer, four walks, five K's, five earned runs in five innings against the Brewers to balloon his ERA... just a few points.

I think the big issue is velocity. It's down quite a bit across the board this year.

His strikeout rate is way down too. Coming in to this season it was 7.3/27 BF. This year it's 4.5/27 BF.

Gotta say ... I see a .367 BABIP combined with a 51% ground ball rate and only an 18% hard hit ball rate ... and I think that shuffling the infield can't hurt

Ouch ... the first significant beat down ...

The Evil Empire, spreading rumors.
Luis Castillo (P) CIN - Jan. 17
https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=762442
Reds GM Nick Krall issued a statement suggesting that rumors of Castillo being traded to the Yankees was 'completely false,' Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. "[The rumors] are completely false," Krall texted. "We intend to have [Castillo] as a member of our rotation for 2021."
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While Krall has asserted that he'll listen to offers for nearly everyone, it doesn't really make sense to trade Castillo, absent an overwhelming package. He's only making $4.2 million with the Reds in 2021 and won't become a free agent for another three seasons.
