I'm working on Big Prices for the Guide. Today I have Lourdes Gurriel Jr. with a price of $8. What do you think?

Joined the club and kept going yesterday.

Anyone have Lourdes and Yuli? I tried to, but foolishly cut Lourdes when he was sent down.

Yuli wasn't lying when he said, "My brother is better."

Appears to have won the 2B position for now.  Travis has been sent to AAA.

Mike, my position on your FAAB advice is that I will handle my team/content issues. Your advice is important as it relates to the quality of the player and where you and other experts see his fitting into his team. Hate that column all you want, but I read them all. On Monday, I grabbed Canha.

if you have a pressing need i agree.

Eno's team is swimming around the bottom of the toilet bowl on offense. My offense is doing very well in the non-BA categories and that's with Altuve and Lindor off to slow starts. This is one reason I hate FAAB columns and advice...so much of it is team/context dependent.

I bid $9 in LABR. It was the second highest bid but Eno Saris of The Athletic blew me out of the water with a $22 bid.

I'm in the same boat.  2nd in offense.  Near the bottom in pitching.  I grabbed Gurriel so that I can remain at the top in offense.  1st in SB, 2nd in Avg and Runs, 5th in RBI is where I'm getting my points.  For some reason I always have trouble with HR even when I come out of the auction with Olson, Odor, Devers, and Mazara as my power.  Turns out, in today's environment, you need a lot more.  But, with Torres up, I was able to move Eduardo Escobar for Odorizzi, so perhaps my pitching won't be at the bottom for the whole season.

Players qualify at a position based on where they played in the minors (last year and this year) and I thought that would make him wildly attractive.

My pitching is a mess. But I'm not seeing any pitchers that will make it less of a mess, so my notion is to buy every hitter that comes down the pike until I run out of money, then trade.

The running out of money part was easy.

I overpaid myself.  With the 2nd best bid of $13, I overspent by $8.  You probably should have gone by the other bids in my league and gone with $7 to be more than double (relatively) the $13 2nd place bidder.
