Ellis Valentine 77-78, mentioned by Andypro a couple weeks ago

Eddie Murray 82-83, but really 81-84 (look at OPS+ to deal with the 81 strike)

Have there ever been consecutive seasons with closer similarity scores?

Since we won this year, I can now laugh at this:  we traded KDavis ($16) and Danny Duffy ($15) last winter for Blake Snell at a buck.  Duffy didn't earn it, but Davis sure did (again), and we dumped Snell in-season before he got straightened out.

Fascinating look at Khris Davis's arm, which is apparently historically epically awful. Is that enough to get him moved to DH? Or is being that bad not that terrible for a team because they also get the bat?

Ended the game in the bottom of the ninth on a 3-2 pitch from Bryan Shaw. A 399-foot shot to right center, which is his sweet spot. The spray chart at Fangraphs shows nine home runs in a tight cluster in that vicinity.

Teams are running like crazy on him. In the first inning last night, Springer tagged up on a fly ball to medium left and made it to second when Davis threw to the cut-off!

Baseball HQ values the last three years at 13/13/17. Simply denominator difference?

Davis wins his Arbitration battle with the A's and will receive $5 mill this year. They went to war over $350K. A rather needless battle, wasn't it?

Revisiting the effects on Oakland stadium's on foul outs discussion last February.

In 392 ABs for Milwaukee in 2015 he fouled out 4 times.

In 555 ABs for Oakland in 2016 he fouled out 16 times.
