He couldn't hit, obviously, and it didn't matter.

Anyways, it wasn't like the Rays had some bopper riding the pine because of it.

Mike Landau ML-

Hit his first homer of the season yesterday and why not?

Playing in the Fish Bowl, Joey Wendle hit his second, Yoshi Tsutsugo hit his fifth, and Willie Adames hit his fourth (three on for this one). In their turn at the plate, Lewis Brinson put one over the fence for the first time, so did Garrett Cooper, and Corey Dickerson hit his fourth.

The two biggest boppers for the Rays, Austin Meadows and Brandon Lowe, sat this one out. Cooper was getting a rare start at first while Jesus Aguilar rested a sore back.

Kevin Kiermaier (OF) TB - Apr. 18

https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=740760

Kiermaier has remained in the Port Charlotte area during the current suspension of spring training and is using a variety of methods to remain in shape, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Platinum Glove outfielder has been using rubber resistance bands to perform assorted stretching exercises and for creative movements such as baseball bat biceps curls. Kiermaier is also working on his legs by jumping on concrete blocks, so he's essentially trying to stick to a comprehensive, full-body workout without the benefit of a gym/training facility.

I'm sorry. You shouldn't hit .228 when you hit the ball on the ground and don't try to pull everything and have good speed. But he did.

And the year before he hit .217.
