Hold the hallelujahs.

I get my daily report from OnRoto and behold: all those ugly stats were added to the Original Oracles in the PCL.

I only play in four leagues and I still can't keep track of them.

Sad.

Sometimes you get lucky.

Peter and I picked up Lyles in the XFL monthly sweepstakes on Sunday. Peter asked me if he should activate him in favor of Matt Boyd this week?

As is chronicled here, I like Boyd, but he pitches against the Red Sox in Fenway this week; I meant to tell Peter I thought that was an excellent idea.

But I'm still in Washington State and can't seem to get used to the time difference; it was too late, games had already started. Boyd stayed up, Lyles stayed on reserve.

We all know that when that happens, the guy on reserve throws a shutout.

Not this time. Lyles got pounded: eight runs in 4.1 IP.

I should say, I think we were lucky. Boyd still has to face the Red Sox tomorrow.
