I'm working on Big Prices for the Guide. Today I have Joey Wendle with a price of $12. What do you think?

Well, sure, but Ohtani didn't even play defense.

Some Yankee fans are a little irritated about Andujar not winning, but this Yankee fan isn't.  He's dreadful at 3rd.

The craziest thing about Wendle is that he stagnated at AAA for the A's of all teams despite putting up solid numbers there.  You'd think if anyone would be willing to try a kid out with 280/325/440 10 HR 10 SB numbers for the minimum at 2B, it would be the A's.  But, they just let him rot at AAA putting up the same numbers for 3 years.  Now he's in the majors putting up the same numbers again (power is down because he's not in the PCL).

Wendle has been a nice $1 end game play in AL-Only leagues this year.

He qualifies at 4 positions and continues to get playing time.

Not sure of his role next year with the Rays, but looks like a super utility guy and the salary is right for Tampa, so he is worthy of a $1 freeze in those formats.

Joey Wendle (2B) TB - Mar. 7

Wendle is competing for the Rays' second-base job alongside Daniel Robertson, Micah Johnson and Willy Adames this spring, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Manager Kevin Cash said that the recent trade of Ryan Schimpf to the Braves on Monday opened up a little more competition at the keystone, paving the way for Wendle to receive more reps in the Grapefruit League.

Three years, 1654 plate appearances, in Triple-A, with 30 homers and 39 stolen bases. Not huge numbers, but enough to think he might vie for a utility spot. The problem is he's not much of a defensive player, and his good bat isn't good enough to play in the outfield. Which leaves him inbetween.
