Three knocks, one over the fence (his 8th), to raise his batting average in Triple-A West to .341.

Joey Bart, Triple-A Sacramento (Giants)—Bart could soon be headed back to the major leagues as he's impressed at the Triple-A level over 18 games. On Tuesday in a win over Reno, the 24-year-old catcher hit his fifth homer and drove in two. He's posted a .358/.411/.642 slash line with 18 RBIs.

Joey Bart, C, Triple-A Sacramento (Giants) – Bart continues to rake at Triple-A Sacramento. He went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in the River Cats’ 7-6 loss to Oklahoma City and is now batting .382/.432/.735 on the young season. While there is no rush to bring him up with Buster Posey crushing the ball in his return to Giants after opting out of the 2020 season, Bart is doing his best to be ready whenever he’s needed.

That was the opinion in CBS - a late $1 pick.

Some of the Picks and Pans in the Rotoman Special are quite short.

PHIL HERTZ PAN: Wait ‘til, at least, next year.

In some leagues Joey will again be stashed away on the owner's farm system at reduced cost. Sort of like what the Giants are doing.

Bart is expected to open the year in the minors after the Giants signed Curt Casali to a major-league deal Monday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 2018 second-overall pick got called up ahead of schedule last year due to Buster Posey's opt out, but he didn't exactly prove to be big-league ready, hitting .233/.288/.320 a 36.9 percent strikeout rate and a 2.7 percent walk rate in 33 games. The acquisition of Casali means the Giants now have a veteran backup for Posey, allowing Bart to finish his development in the minors before pushing for his second chance at the highest level.

The additional metrics from Fangraphs don't provide much comfort for Joey Bart. He didn't hit many line drives and none of his fly balls carried over the fence (we can see both of these in his stat line but we see them more clearly). And he pulled too many pitches. Hitting a lot of grounders and pulling the ball, he's going to see a lot of shifts.
