A mini-slump!

Jo Adell (OF) ANA - Sep. 15

https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=757697

Adell isn't in Tuesday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Adell has been in a slump recently as he's gone 0-for-20 with one walk and 10 strikeouts over the past six games. He'll retreat to the bench with Taylor Ward starting in right field.

Here's someone who didn't make it into BA's prospect report.

I can't think why. He hit his second double yesterday and drove in his first run!

Here, look.

0-for-5 with three strikeouts and an error.

Regression.

It's not like I didn't notice that Adell had all kinds of trouble in Triple-A last year. Triple-A where everybody else whacked baseball after baseball into the seats.

I noticed and I commented on it and I bid $50 figuring surely someone else would bid more.

If they didn't... small sample size in Triple-A.

The way things are going, he's not going to get 121 AB this year.

Only two true outcomes in 5 AB, one of them good.

If you're in an OBP league. Didn'tdo me much good.

He did try to steal a base.

Progress.

Three true outcomes against Kershaw but at least one of them was a walk.

How many of his Ks have been on pitches outside the zone? Anecdotally, I'd say all of them.

$50. To me.

After his game yesterday, he's probably back at the alternate training site by game time today.

The big money in our league went to Montero.

Who I thought was already rostered!

Big mistake. But he went for $64, so I wouldn't have gotten him.

I wasn't focussed on saves (obviously), but if I had noticed Montero was available, I might still have bid $50 on Adell.

Two teams ahead of me, way ahead, had $100. They could have gone for broke with $50 on Montero and Adell.

As it is, I could have bid exactly half of $50 and gotten him.

That's how bad Jo Adell's first week was.

Maybe he really did have to work on his defense.

Just boosted the ball over the fence in right after a meandering route to catch it. That's not going to help his price tomorrow.

If you're in a redraft league that made its claims today, how much did he go for?
