DFA'd by the Rays. Extreme example of a late bloomer wilting quickly.

Looking a lot like the AL version of Matt Adams .... a platoon masher who will reliably earn double digits each year. $5 is safe, and you might get a $20 year out of him.

Thoughts on worthwhile as a pickup for next year at $5, AL only?

Headed to the Rays.

Two homers yesterday give him eight at the All-Star break.
Before those stats get recorded here, he's slugging .344, BABIPing .256 and G/L/Fing 41/21/37. With similar SO and BB percents as the year before, you have to think some -- certainly not all -- of his struggle is explained by bad luck.

3 ABs, 2HRs and 4RBI tonight. The worm turns?

Similar G/L/F and K% BB% to last year. Noone is going to have good slash line stats with a .173 BABIP and 0 HR/Fly....not even Trout.....not even Ruth....not even Gwynn.

Aguilar didn't have a really strong finish to 2018 and so far it has carried over. Maybe Aguilar is more the player we saw in 2015/2016 at Triple-A Columbus, than the player we saw in 2018 with Milwaukee? I wasn't overly confident and bought into Thames to fill bench slots in several deeper Leagues. Thames is on the right side of a platoon and with the Brewers moving Santana and Broxton, should also get a fair share of reps in the outfield.

April.

Rough start, to say the least. Losing time to Thames, among others. Just dropped in one shallow-ish league I'm in. Any theories of the case out there?
