I cut him Monday, he gets his first save on Tuesday ... that's Roto :-(

Milwaukee Brewers – Jeremy Jeffress logged his third straight scoreless outing since his return from the IL. The Brewers have struggled to find a good bridge to Josh Hader in his absence, so we think this is good enough to move him up on to the hierarchy.

Updated hierarchy: Hader | Jeffress | Wilson.

I’d bet Knebel opts for TJS. Even if he doesn’t it’s only $3.

Decisions, decisions....keep at $3 or throw him back?

Threw a bullpen yesterday and apparently another will come on Sunday. Maybe back mid-April, and assuming no Kimbrel, would be a favourite for saves with Knebel out, possibly for a while.

Have about an hour until PCL freeze lists are due, and I'm still waffling.

Also went for $1 in LABR ... what's going on there?  It will be interesting to see who gets picked up in the end game ... sure seems like it's going to be pitchers with a better chance at negative earnings than Jeremy Jeffress ... but maybe I need to learn that that's OK ... maybe even better (ie. take a flyer on a guy with higher upside, knowing you can drop him quick & easy and pick up another guy with higher upside, etc).

Interesting that the top 25 pitchers last year in 5x5 all had four-seam fastballs as their primary pitch.

In November I looked at the Statcast averages of the top 75 hitters and top 50 pitchers and asked Colin to postpone the appearance of this information until we turned the page toward next season.

We did the same thing with advanced analytics from Fangraphs.

And yesterday we turned the page, which is why you see such a massive dump of comments from me. The comment preceding this one for Jeffress was written about a month ago, not two hours ago.

And I still can't believe he wasn't taken at all in the XFL.
