Why was he in center and Austin Jackson in left?

Four knocks, two over the fence, against the Twins today. Before that he was -1 in 4x4 and 5x5. G/L/F 46/17/37. BABIP .212.

Need to unlock Yandy Diaz, who will be starting at 3B while Kipnis is on the DL with Ramirez shifting to 2B.  Cuban with great plate discipline and good batting average.  Limited HR power. Played OF and 3B in the minors.  Not young, but not old either.  Considered an average defender.  I have a hope that he will stick around because of the OF deficiencies once Kipnis is back.

Starting the year on the DL, due to a sore rotator cuff. He says he could play ball with it, would if it was the regular season, but it is triggered by non-baseball related activities. I'm skeptical of that and have cut his projection to 500 at bats and an $18 bid. Maybe in a week that will look like an overreaction, but there's a fair chance it doesn't go far enough.

For some reason, pitchers didn't come up and in on Kipnis that often -- only 71 pitches in the strike zone, another 228 that were balls. The overall exit velocity of the balls he put in play was a respectable 90.67; the exit velocity of pitches up and in that were strikes was a mere 83.4, the exit velocity of pitches in that vicinity that weren't strikes an even merer 80.2.

He managed to collect four hits off of balls up and in. He had eight hits against strikes up and in.

Four of those eight were homers.
