Career high HR/Fly and teetering on career best pull%.
My basic theory on doubles turning into HRs and correlating with increase in pull%.
1. Pitchers generally pitch batters away.
2. Early in their career batters take those away pitches primarily up the middle and to the opposite field.
3. They learn how to take advantage of being able to extend their arms and turn on pitches more thereby increasing pull% and HR rate.
4. Pitchers eventually have to pitch inside and get them off the plate then the power and pull% both level off.

Given his age, steals down, power up. I traded him in the offseason for two keepers: Luis Valbuena and Russell Martin! Two is better than one!

Very unlikely to get him, since in all likelihood I'll be freezing him. My bet is that the shoulder soreness did cost him some power, but the 2B+HR total compares favorably to 2013, so consider 9 the low end of the range of homer possibilities.
Alas, given his age and injury history it's hard to see the steals bumping up much.

Did a sore right shoulder account for his anemic (.253/.307/.380) second half. Does it explain only two SB (in five attempts)?
Strangely, no one picks or pans him in The Guide.
When we post our three sets of bids here, the AP 4x4 will be a pan. Not a serious pan, but enough of a pan that it's unlikely I'll get him, which -- essentially -- is serious pan.
