Alex I like the Damn Yankees comparison. Starring Bobby V as the devil.

The 10th place team is happy to have him, and can now deal a different pitcher if we like. I'm especially pleased to have dropped a $55 FAAB bid on a 1-10 pitcher with -$3 earnings. If that isn't GM genius, I don't know what is.

But as one of my fellow owners pointed out, you can't take the FAAB with you. And when we move into 9th place, you'll all see.

If the Sox finish last on both sides of their World Series win, that would certainly be a first. And a bargain with the devil that any team would make.

Sentiment was probably not part of the trading decision, but I thought my Home Towne Team did a solid giving JP an all expense paid trip to the Bay Area and the NL West.
Etched forever in our hearts for 2013. The improbable run on (almost) a parallel with 1967.

I picked up Peavy in CBS at $28.

Good grief...$28 on a 1-10 pitcher? My SP is so bad...desperate times call for desperate measures.

Yep. I would like to have Peavy, but cannot take on that salary.

Went for $55 in PCL to the 10th place team which limits (due to salary cap) who he might be able to trade with.

It's that team. Altuve is my third star. Hosmer and Pedroia were supposed to be. I dealt Tanaka a week before he announced his injury, which is really what's keeping me in the mix.

A shot at second thanks to Tanaka and Abreu? Or is that another team?
