Following him closely after getting him in a couple of leagues, he actually was called up early Sunday before the Chrichton save.  Rotoworld immediately started salivating about it, so a bid of 7 on Monday wasn't enough to also get him in my NL where we only have actives and IL, no reserves.  Instead he went for 17 to the team that had paid a ridiculous amount at the auction for Bass.

Interesting call up now ... right after Crichton picks up a no-run save, and as Soria appears ready to return.

But I doubt he's going to get any better with his control without facing real batters in game situations.  And since the powers that be decided that won't happen for another couple weeks, and since Arizona seems to be firmly establishing that they won't be a playoff contender, might as well start getting him that real game experience now and see how it plays.  He's got all his options so it won't cost them much to send him back down if he consistently adds fuel to fires with walks.

We missed him; he'll be in next week.

According to Roster Resource, he's already been assigned to Triple-A.

Came in, struck out Michael Taylor and Kyle Isbel today to end inning.  Imagine what he's going to do when left behind at the alternate site.  He's going to cost an early round reserve pick for those of us in leagues where you can't buy guys in the minors at auction.

Even if the quality of opponent is 5, that's impressive.

J.B. Bukauskas, RHP, D-Backs — Bukauskas has quietly had an outstanding spring. His fastball has been sitting at 94-96 mph, he still has his excellent slider and he just keeps putting up zeroes. Bukauskas retired all three batters he faced on Monday. He’s now retired all 15 batters he’s faced this spring with 10 strikeouts.
