For Troy Montgomery, who slashed .235/.350/.265 in 20 games in Double-A, and Wilkel Hernandez, who had nice numbers in two Rookie leagues.

MLBPipeline.com ranked them No. 20 and No. 24 on the Angels.

Homered again last night, his 11th in his last 41 games. But is hitting .211 during those games, to illustrate Mike's point.

A great example of the power of BA (although the dip in RBI certainly didn't help)

Provided the margin of victory with a solo homer in the seventh.

A tough year for Kinsler. Father Time? Bad BABIP luck? Both?

Latest member of the 10 HR club.

Even better, he's still a Tiger.

Maybe I shouldn't have said that. He can still find his way to the NL by hook or by crook.

Brewers are showing an interest, per Buster Olney.

All hell is about to break loose.

Kinsler, since he's been with the Tigers, has been $28, $27, $26, $26 in my league.  Those two $26 bids were auction buys.  One day this will not be his price, but as of now the market knows what he's worth.

So Kinsler was my big buy of the day, at $23. A couple of other experts didn't go over $30 on a player, but I was the only one to avoid going over $25.

Which certainly wasn't by design. But the prices kept soaring in the first three rounds so I did what I usually do, which is wait and wait and wait.

Kinsler is a Stage Three buy all the way on a Stage Three team. My bid limit was $25. The $5x5 column was a big reason I bumped him up a couple of bucks over what AP/MF/PK recommend. He's been automatic for $20, and even if he slips from 2016 (which is probable) I should get my $20-25 worth of stats.
