I guess the Braves were concerned as well.   That worked out.

Braves sent Ynoa to Triple-A Gwinnett today. Next up is Touki Toussaint, again.

AND ... you're better off with someone like MKelly :-)

You know, uh, he only made 2 starts in the shortened spring training.  I don't think you would cut Freddy Peralta after two starts.  Isn't this a great game?

Anyone else worried about Ynoa?  Trying to decide whether it is just bad luck (.455 babip) or if I am better off with someone like M Kelly.  Hold or cut and run?

The pitch that Lane hit for a double was ridiculous.  It was a 96 mph fastball about 6" above the outside corner of the strike zone and he reached out and hit it.  Should have been a whiff, or at least an infield pop fly, but somehow Lane barreled it.

OTOH, the homer to Franco that followed with was just a pure mistake, hanging an 87 mph slider right in the middle of the zone.

For those drafting this weekend, could be a buying op. It's so hard to take on stats like these.

Hit hard in Monday's loss
April 12, 2022
Ynoa (0-1) took the loss in Monday's 11-2 rout at the hands of the Nationals, coughing up five runs on seven hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out four.
ANALYSIS
The young right-hander was able to escape trouble in the first two innings, but things fell apart for Ynoa in the third. He threw 41 of 72 pitches for strikes before getting the hook, but the Atlanta bullpen didn't have any more success than he did. Ynoa will look to rebound in his next start, scheduled for Sunday in San Diego.
