I was peeking at the available pitchers in our league today, and he jumped out. Unowned with 13 wins. Was FAABed by an owner in April; released a few weeks later; FAABed again by the SAME TEAM a month or so later, released on 9/1. And some fine pitching has gone unowned, but it's not hard to see why.

Solid over his last 4 starts and run support is always a good thing.

I may need to eat crow!

Another great effort, this one against the Bronx Bombers in the Bronx.
If you FAABed him, raise your hand. Unlike the Monkey, we don't need a screenshot, we just admire your courage.

Not exactly an endorsement. More a tip of the hat to a job well done.
Apr 15 '19
Really? An endorsement? Can he actually provide a positive return? More than Zimmermann or Moore or Ross or Holland or the consonant man or Cashner or Godley or a host of others that have burned many a rotisserie player in the past?

Seven scoreless against the Indians yesterday. How'd he do it?
Lots of four-seam fastballs between 92 and 94.
Almost as many splitters between 82 and 84.
The occasional knuckle curve between 74 and 76.
The occasional slider between 86 and 88.
The rare two-seam fastball between 91 and 92.
Throw all those pitches for strikes, good strikes, and it's not a fluke.

The Twins fan more often than they collect knocks against Homer Bailey? Lord help us.

Homer Bailey (P) KC - Mar. 19
Bailey is expected to open the season in the Royals' starting rotation, Rustin Dodd of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Ian Kennedy was sent to the bullpen Tuesday, all but confirming Bailey will break camp in Kansas City's starting rotation. The veteran hurler owns a brutal 6.25 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over parts of the last four seasons (231.2 innings), and he didn't necessarily turn any heads in camp, so it would be unwise to expect much from him in 2019.

Not that long ago, the Phils were predicted to become the Yankees of the NL.
