Hanser just tied the game with two outs in the bottom of the tenth against the Yankees. The teams traded zeros for six innings. Then each team scored a run in the 7th, 8th and 9th. Now each team has scored two runs in the 10th. For ten innings the game has been tied at the end of the inning.

When I write a paragraph or say something like Neux's first graf below it is usually followed by something like:

"While first place is certainly out of the question, there are paths to climb from 10th to 3rd if Superstar A starts hitting like an average regular and all the mediocre guys on my team actually hit at a mediocre level."

Well done Neuxbrainer for hanging in there!

Desperately in need of BA, I now own Alberto who fills a MI position on my team of under-performing inf-of guys including Brandon Lowe, Nick Solak, and the most recent plank walker Hunter Dozier. Alberto was free and Dozier was costing me. A mistake? Maybe. But I had to do something. Somehow I managed to own mostly BA disappointments, including deep dives from Dozier and Kelenic, while my plan of balancing such things with Madrigal disappeared.

I'm in a three-way tie for second, with first still possible (AL 5x5). My goal is to hold on to first or second in HR and RBI, third in SB -- and get out of 10th in BA. Hoping Kelenic comes back from the minors strong. Alberto? Some more singles, please.

Good move by the Royals. From a Rotisserie standpoint, he's a huge upgrade over Nicky Lopez. If Alberto's defense is even passable, you'd have to think he'll push Lopez aside.

We covet him (as Peter says in the Rotoman Special); even the Orioles do not. They non-tendered him in November and Hanser signed a minor-league deal with the Royals yesterday.
